I was a little bummed this morning when I couldn't take off early Idaho for Thansgiving because of this lame storm that's here. So I decided to get a delicious Starbucks hot chocolate, the only thing that gets me through these cold days! I ordered at the drive-through (which I think every Starbucks should have) and got up to the window to pay, when the nice man who handed me my hot chocolate told me the car in front of me had paid for mine too. How nice is that?! Seriously, whoever that was, thank you! You made my day! It reminded me that I should be a little more thoughtful towards others too...

Dresser re-do

I've been on the search for a dresser for who knows how long. I was up at the Centerville DI one day and low and behold this beauty was there for $25!! I don't know if it's sad or fantastic that a piece of furniture makes me so happy, but it does! I went with the whole grey/yellow/white thing that's going on in my room right now. I'm seriously running out of room in there, but at least I have a place to put my clothes and I can get rid of the makeshift dresser (cardboard boxes) in the living room;)
(Pay no attention to the missing knob at the bottom...sometimes that's what you get at the DI! Not quite sure what to do with that yet)
All in all, I think she got a pretty little face-lift:)

Why carve?

I don't think I've ever been so in love with pumpkins before! I can't say this was my idea, but having an obsession with spray paint, it's not surprising I had to try it out. I saw this in Real Simple magazine... so pretty and easy! So before you get the knives out, maybe make a little decoration out of them. These babies might be staying around til Thanksgiving...

Football Season!!!

I swear I always wait til the last minute to get my tickets to BSU's biggest game of the year. I'm pretty sure I did that last year too...anyway, completely worth it! This year I scrambled the day before to get a student ticket on Craigslist because they were way cheaper compared to the general admission seats going for over $180!! I love my Broncos, but sorry, not gonna pay that much. I ended up borrowing an old roommate's student ID and everything worked out just fine! I seriously love college football, especially my team. I love it that the whole city of Boise gets so into it on game day! I miss being in Boise this time of year. It's so nice to go places and see blue and orange all over instead of the usual Utah and BYU gear I see around Salt Lake.

The morning of the game, our crew woke up at 5 AM to be a part of the crowd that made an appearance for ESPN's College Gameday. It was so fun seeing thousands of people show up to be a part of that....me included:) The game was amazing as usual! And of course, we won!!:)

Super early for College Gameday!

After a nice win:)

I love home

I had a couple days off at the beginning of the week and I wanted nothing more than to just go home. I love that it's not too far away and I can go home anytime I want. What I love more than anything is the amazing welcome I get at the door from these three...

And I get to hang out with my best friend, who also just happens to be my sister:)

(Photo courtesy of Noah, who's 3...he loves to get a hold of my camera and take pictures of everything...)

And I love that this cute girl says my name like a champ now...nothing better! I love my family so much and I'm so grateful I have them.

My new career...

No, not the one with Zimmer...my new modeling career. I'm really just kidding! My good friend Kim from Boise, the genius behind KimKaps, makes the cutest scrub hats and has been making us cuter in the O.R. for quite some time. Now she's making scrub jackets. They're the most adorable patterns. So she came to Salt Lake and my dear friend Ashlee shot some photos for Kim's website. We had tons of fun! Go take a gander...

I left my heart in San Francisco

At least that's how the song goes...but we did go there for the 4th of July weekend! What an amazing city with so much to do. Whenever I travel elsewhere, I wonder what makes me stay in Utah (haha) but alas, this is where I'll stay for a bit. Anyway! Lee and I went there for a little weekend trip and had such a blast doing all the touristy stuff that San Fran has to offer.

We walked on the Golden Gate Bridge....that thing is super high. It blows my mind how bridges like that are built!

Ate some delicious chocolate at Ghirardelli Square.

Searched all over the city to find "Postcard Row" Completely worth it. This view is amazing!

Went to prison on the 4th of July....a little ironic...Alcatraz was so creepy but really fascinating and so glad we did that!

We watched the fireworks go off along Pier 39 and I about froze!! We bought completely unnecessary San Francisco gear to keep us warm that night that we'll probably never wear again haha.

Union Square is a shopping mecca with the most beautiful, ornate stores I've seen! We ate cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory on the top of the Macy's building. Definitely a beautiful view!

And of course we had to ride a cable car! If only for one block...;)

We had such a great trip!!
